2024 Market Garden Progress Week 1

We are so excited to meet many of our shareholders this week! Your garden is progressing and we have a lot of fresh nutrient dense food growing for you!

As you can see we have rhubarb, peas, onions, beets and as a special treat some !!strawberries!! in field block A.

In the "B" Beds we have potatoes (red & wax), another round of peas, beans, Tokyo Bekana (Chinese leaf cabbage), summer squash, radish, carrots & spring onions. Tomatoes are in the "C" Beds. Sorry I didn't get a picture of the "C" Beds.

Current pests are grasshoppers and you may see some holes in the leaves of your produce. We share this world with insects, but I wish I could limit them to the pasture and not the garden!!!

The beginning of the season is always stressful @ Wolf Creek Fresh because we want to give you as much produce as we can but mother nature has a saying, "...a time and a season..." and we are currently limited to the season in which plants grow. So this week we have the following for options you;

• Rhubarb

• Strawberries

• Spring onions

• Beet greens

• Tokyo Bekana

• Radish

• Dill

• Basil

As the garden grows you will see more and more vegetables come into season and we look forward to enjoying them with you!

Eggs are available in shares or to purchase individually.

Handy Home Baked Goods will have cinnamon rolls and pumpkin bread available for sale. If you want to reserve some of that deliciousness, let us know by Friday at 720-288-0829.
