Week 11: The heat is on

The summer is finally heating up. and the Vegetables are loving it. Fennel is just about ready. Last year when harvesting the Fennel we thought the fennel root was so strange and joked that it was the Mandrake root from the show Harry Potter. So we posted this picture on social media and told everyone to come get Mandrake root as a joke. Well we ended up having a gentleman come to the stand asking for the Mandrake root that his wife had sent him to fetch. After a bit of conversation we found out that the Magical Mandrake root is a real thing (perhaps not as magical). We were a bit embarrassed and apologized for posting what we thought was a joke. Oops...
