Week 3: Beets & Heat!

We have tender young beets this week. It seems every year we face new challenges to overcome growing vegetables in Strasburg. This year we have a grasshopper plague and crazy hot weather. We are running our water twice as long to try and keep moisture in the beds and are working on getting some shade cloth to cover tender veggies. The garden may be a bit delayed this year but we are working hard to get you a bountiful share.
